Dagmara continues her uneven fight against a severe disease. She has repeatedly overcome very difficult and devastating moments, and does not give up despite tremendous adversity. She is also currently facing major complications arising from her long-term treatment. An ailment that particularly hinders Dagmara's daily functioning is bilateral deafness. This causes significant complications in interpersonal interactions, and the hearing aid our Warrior woman dreams of will be an essential purchase for her to function freely in society. Dagmara's story is full of sadness, but also hope for a better tomorrow. Our Warrior's situation is very complicated, but we can improve it together! We encourage with all our strength to support Dagmara! Every donation, even the smallest one, brings her closer to purchasing the coveted hearing aid, which will allow her to hear her beloved loved ones loud and clear again. September 12, 2024

Despite the use of two different antibiotics prescribed by the doctor, the pain persisted and she was advised to have blood tests.

Dagmara's entire family, as well as herself, could not believe the words coming from the doctor analyzing the morphology results: acute myeloid leukemia. However, the initial shock was quickly replaced by a mobilization to action.

A month later, on November 20, 2019, she began receiving her first dose of chemotherapy at the Leukemia Treatment Center of the Cancer Hospital in Kielce. Nearly complete remission was achieved, but this was not the end of her battle with cancer. The warrior was ordered another dose of maintenance chemotherapy, followed by another dose of chemotherapy before the transplant, and then a stem cell transplant at the Transplant Center in Katowice.

The treatment of this disease involves enormous costs. Diagnostic tests, airtight food, post-transplant medications, travel to consultations and adapting an entire apartment to accommodate a person who has almost zero immunity are just some of the necessary expenses.

In addition, Dagmara faces GVHD in its severe form, which is associated with serious complications throughout the body. These include pleural water, pericardium and ascites, and hearing loss has also appeared. He can only hear with one ear about 60%, the other not at all. The fight against the disease turned out to be much longer than initially expected. Several years after the transplant, Dagmara is still in the hospital, and she still has a long and expensive rehabilitation ahead of her to strengthen her body. ENT diagnostics will also be needed.
