Small steps for health
Dorota is twelve years old and still fighting the most important battle of her life. Behind her are long months of intense cancer treatment, filled with pain, fear and uncertainty. Today, after completing her second intravenous chemotherapy protocol, she is on maintenance treatment. This stage, although less drastic in its effects, still requires great strength and patience from her. Oral chemotherapy, regular checkups and follow-up appointments are still part of her daily routine. The body, exhausted by the therapy, demands rest, and the effects of the treatment such as headaches, abdominal pain, joint and bone pain, are constantly reminding of themselves. Although every step towards health today can be called a milestone, Dorota is still under the vigilant care of specialists. In the near future, she is scheduled for an MRI scan of her head - a necessary test after her drug-induced leukoencephalopathy, allowing her to monitor the state of her nervous system.
The world has colors again
After many months in the hospital, Dorota finally returned home. There, amid familiar smells and sounds, a surprise awaited her - the little cat she had long dreamed of. Although her treatment is still ongoing, Dorota is increasingly bold in her thoughts about the future. She misses training, the field, the movement, the sound of the ball bouncing on the turf. She waits longingly for the day that, in its apparent ordinariness, will be the most beautiful for her. October 21, 2025

He is currently completing Protocol M, and just before Christmas will begin the final stage of intravenous chemotherapy - Protocol II, which will last until mid-February.

After that, she faces another 1.5 years of maintenance treatment, including regular tests, oral chemotherapy and hospital visits.

Despite the difficulties, Dorothy does not lose her cheerfulness. She loves animals and dreams of having a cat of her own, who could be her faithful friend in her daily battle with the disease. She is very sociable, loves playing soccer and spending time with her peers. Her greatest wish is to recover so that she can go back to school, run on the soccer field and meet her friends again.

Dorothy and her family need support in fighting the disease. Treatment requires a lot of money for specialized medications, travel to the hospital and daily necessities. Any help, even the smallest, will allow Dorotka to get closer to realizing her dreams and beating leukemia. Let's help her get back to normalcy and enjoy her childhood again!
