A New Reality After a Single Diagnosis
Szymon was diagnosed with stage II malignant testicular cancer that had metastasized to his lymph nodes. On May 22, 2026, he underwent surgery to remove the testicle. That was just the beginning of his battle. He still has four cycles of BEP chemotherapy ahead of him, which will place a tremendous strain on his body and daily life.
The illness put a halt to my plans and daily life
Not long ago, Szymon was planning his dream trip to Thailand. The trip, which he had been looking forward to for years, was scheduled for September. Unfortunately, his cancer diagnosis completely changed his plans and daily life. He is currently pursuing a part-time degree at Gdańsk University of Technology while working full-time. Despite his illness, he tries not to give up on his education; thanks to the tremendous support of his professors, he managed to pass the semester on an individual basis. Currently, his biggest challenge is balancing treatment with writing his engineering thesis. The defense date is set in stone, and his body, recovering from surgery and preparing for chemotherapy, is increasingly running out of strength.
The daily struggle for normalcy
Szymon has to be careful even when performing the simplest tasks. After his surgery, the doctors advised him to avoid lifting heavy objects, so even simple errands or daily chores have become a challenge. In addition, his extended sick leave has caused his financial situation to deteriorate significantly.
Support that will allow you to focus on your treatment
The funds raised will be used to cover non-reimbursable therapies, rehabilitation, transportation, and daily expenses related to treatment and daily life during chemotherapy. Every contribution will help Szymon get through his treatment with greater peace of mind and focus on what matters most right now—the fight for his health and a return to normal life.
