After a bone marrow transplant
I recently underwent a bone marrow transplant. It’s almost been two months since the procedure. I'm currently at home and I regularly travel to Gliwice for follow-up appointments. It’s more than a six-hour drive each way, but I still prefer that to staying in the hospital all the time.I recently caught a virus, but the doctors acted quickly and prescribed me some additional medication. Fortunately, we managed to get it under control. I feel fine overall, although I'm in very poor shape right now. Sometimes I manage to make myself a sandwich, and sometimes even cutting a roll in half feels like too much effort.
The most important thing is that I'm home
Still, there is a silver lining to all this. I'm at home with my family, and that gives me a tremendous sense of security. I cherish these simple moments that once seemed completely ordinary. I can play Monopoly with my siblings and argue about how the banker wins too often again. We can watch soccer games or cartoons together. Just be together and share our everyday lives.I'm taking good care of myself so that the transplant takes
All in all, I feel good both physically and mentally, though of course there are times when I feel a little down. The most important thing right now is for me to take care of myself and give my body time for the transplant to take hold.Acknowledgments

A sudden halt to everyday life
Kacper was just entering adulthood, enjoying everything new it had to offer while remaining close to the world he had known as a teenager. He already had a job, but outside of work there was still time for books, comics, board games, and spending time with his family. A simple everyday life based on relationships, peace, and small joys that build a sense of stability.
On August 10, 2025, this order suddenly collapsed without warning. The diagnosis left no room for hesitation or coming to terms with reality. Acute myeloid leukemia. From that moment on, my entire life was subordinated to treatment.
Hospital instead of home
Kacper is in hospital undergoing intensive chemotherapy. He faces another crucial stage of treatment, namely a transplant, on which his future depends. This is a time that requires enormous strength, patience, and acceptance of complete submission to the rigors of therapy.
One of the most difficult experiences is isolation. Contact with family is limited, and everyday life is confined to a hospital room and waiting for the doctors' next decisions. For a young person who was just beginning to build their adult life, this is a particularly painful ordeal.
Young age, tough test
The illness forced Kacper to stop working and put all his plans on hold indefinitely. Today, only one thing matters: effective treatment and the chance for a future in which he can return to what gave him a sense of purpose and joy in everyday life.
Acute myeloid leukemia does not ask about age or readiness. It comes suddenly and requires a long, exhausting battle, the cost of which is enormous not only physically and emotionally, but also financially.
This fundraiser provides real support for treatment, without which recovery would be impossible. It is help for a young man who found himself in the midst of a fight for his life before he had even really begun it.
Sometimes the greatest courage is to fight for the future at a time when everything is brutally halted at its very beginning.
